Stabbing victim identified in City’s latest homicide

OKLAHOMA CITY — The victim in a Southside stabbing Monday night has been identified as:

  • Javier Ortiz, 31

Ortiz was pronounced dead at a local hospital after being driven there in a private vehicle.

Detectives are still working on the details of this case but believe Ortiz was stabbed at a convenience store on S.W. 29th Street and Blackwelder.

Police believe that Ortiz was stabbed during some sort of altercation between him and one other person at the store.

The investigation is still in its early stages and no arrests have been made.
