OKLAHOMA CITY — Police have an arrest warrant for the wife of a man killed when she ran over him in a west OKC parking lot in April.
Treva Morgan, 66, is accused of running over her husband, Lynn Morgan, 61, and causing death-dealing injuries from the pickup truck running over him.
She had not been arrested at the time of publication. Free Press will update this story when Treva Morgan is booked.
Background
Patrol officers with the Oklahoma City Police Department were sent to a parking lot near NW 10th and Rockwell on reports of an injury accident on April 16 around 5:30 PM.
When officers arrived they found Lynn Morgan with critical injuries according to OKCPD MSgt. Gary Knight’s press release.
The officers believe that Treva Morgan had driven over her husband, Lynn Morgan with a pickup truck.
Lynn Morgan was transported to a local hospital where the later died as a result of the injuries.
In their investigation, OKCPD detectives concluded that Treva Morgan was driving their pickup truck “and Mr. Morgan was in the passenger seat when the two became involved in an argument,” according to MSgt. Knight.
They decided that Lynn Morgan was going to get out of the truck in the parking lot at 1010 N. Rockwell.
“As he stepped out of the truck, Mrs. Morgan accelerated backward, causing the open passenger door to strike and drag Mr. Morgan backward,” said MSgt. Knight. “Mrs. Morgan then accelerated forward, which caused Mr. Morgan to fall to the ground, where he was subsequently run over by the truck.”
After submitting their investigation to the Oklahoma County District Attorney’s Office, a warrant was issued for Treva Morgan on a complaint of negligent homicide.
