Police know little about shooting death on OKC’s Northside

OKLAHOMA CITY — Detectives are investigating a shooting that took place near N. May Avenue and Memorial Road on OKC’s Northside over the weekend resulting in one person dead.

Saturday around 4:24 PM patrol officers with the Oklahoma City Police Department responded to reports of a shooting at the Quail Ridge Apartments, 2609 Featherstone.

When they arrived they found one person, 18-year-old Tre Hill-Womack, in critical condition with a gunshot wound.

The shooting victim was transported to a local hospital where he later died.

According to MSgt Gary Knight with the OKCPD, their officers identified a suspect Sunday and took him into custody.

Willman Tejeda, 25, was booked into the Oklahoma County Detention Center on a First Degree Murder complaint.

Bond has been set at $10 million.

Knight told Free Press in a phone call Monday that they still “don’t know much about this one.”
