Family argument leads to shooting death on Southside

OKLAHOMA CITY — One person is dead from gunshot wounds on the Southside, the deadly end of a family argument in the Apollo Mobile Home Park near SE 42nd and I-35.

Dead is: Danny Grenzebach, 58

In custody at the Oklahoma County Jail is: Joshua Driever, 42

According to Sgt. Dillon Quirk with the Oklahoma City Police Department (OKCPD), their officers were dispatched to 4301 Apollo Drive at 10:54 p.m. Saturday night, July 8 in response to reports of a shooting.

“… the victim, 58-year-old Danny Grenzebach, was found shot to death inside the home,” read a press release.

From their interviews at the scene, officers believe that the shooting occurred when an argument between Grenzebach and Driever, who were living together at the time, escalated to the point of Driever shooting Grenzebach multiple times.

According to OKCPD, Driever originally ran from the scene on foot but was eventually found attempting to hide in the back yard of a residence.

Driever was booked into the Oklahoma County Detention Center on a complaint of First Degree Murder. Bond was denied.
