One dead, one wounded in southside shooting

OKLAHOMA CITY (Free Press) — A 20-year-old female, Aaliyah Quintero-Lopez, died at a local hospital after being shot by assailants in another vehicle Monday evening.

It is the 45th homicide in Oklahoma City in 2022.

An 16-year-old male juevenile (name withheld) in the same car with her was also shot and treated at the hospital for a “non-life-threatening” wound.

The shooting occured near the intersection of S.W. 22nd street and Blackwelder according to the Oklahoma City Police Department press release.

Police investigators believe the two shot were involved in a “road-rage incident” with at least one other vehicle.

There have been no arrests and investigators do not have a definitive description of the suspect(s).
