OKLAHOMA CITY — A street fight between several people resulted in a man dying from having his throat slashed. And one has been arrested and booked for murder.
Maalik Carter, 24, was pronounced dead at a local hospital after sustaining wounds in the fight.
Oklahoma City Police say the fight occurred around the intersection of N.W. 8th St. and N. Virginia Avenue, on the edge of the Metro Park neighborhood.
Later in the day, Friday, detectives arrested, interviewed, and booked the suspect into the Oklahoma County Detention Center.
Algernon Reed, 63, was booked on a second-degree murder complaint. Bond was denied.
