OKLAHOMA CITY — One OKC man died from gunfire Friday and the suspect in the shooting death is in jail on a First Degree Murder complaint.
Friday, February 7, around 1:00 PM patrol officers with the Oklahoma City Police Department were dispatched to do a well-being check “of a person inside a vehicle” in the 2400 block of S. MacArther Blvd, according to a press release.
When they arrived they found 55-year-old Sing Nguyen dead from a gunshot wound.
In their early investigation, detectives established a suspect. Angel Luis Mares, 20, was arrested on Saturday during a traffic stop around NW 50th and MacArthur Blvd.
He was booked into the Oklahoma County Detention Center or Jail at 2:50 AM on Sunday for First Degree Murder. Bond has been denied.

The case will be presented to the District Attorney’s Office who will ultimately determine if any charges will be filed.
