Victim named in Eastside shooting — suspect still at large

OKLAHOMA CITY — The victim of a shooting in Oklahoma City’s Eastside January 20 has been identified as:

  • Lhazmon McCain, 36

This is Oklahoma City’s 5th homicide of 2023.

The Oklahoma City Police Department (OKCPD) reports that there are no suspects in custody so far.

Police were called to 700 N.E. 32nd Street near the intersection of N.E. 32nd and Lincoln in the Capitol View neighborhood around 2:30 a.m. “on reports of gunfire,” according to Sgt. Dillon Quirk with OKCPD.

When officers arrived they found McCain who had been “shot to death.”

From their immediate investigation police believe that there was “some type of altercation” between McCain and a suspect that has not yet been identified.

The suspect ran away from the scene. No arrests have been made so far.
