OKLAHOMA CITY — Police have identified both the suspect and victim in what is believed to be a murder-suicide on Oklahoma City’s Southside.
From the appearance of the victim’s body, Police believe that it had been allowed to lie in the residence for days before the suspect turned the gun on himself.
The victim’s death is counted by the Oklahoma City Police Department as homicide number 56 for the City of Oklahoma City in 2024.
That victim has just been identified Tuesday morning as:
- Forrest Ingerson, 68.
Patrol officers with OKCPD were dispatched to 2644 S Miller Friday, Aug. 2, at 12:20 AM on reports of an assault with a deadly weapon.
Officers found two dead inside the residence, both appearing to have gunshot wounds.
So far, the Oklahoma State Medical Examiner has “determined that the victim was shot to death,” according to OKCPD MSgt. Gary Knight in a press release.
One of the bodies appeared to have been dead “for several days.”
The other appeared to have recently turned the gun on himself. He has been identified as:
- Steven Rounds, 66.
