OKLAHOMA CITY — Police have identified a possible shooting victim they found dead Sunday.
The death is homicide 57 for the City of Oklahoma City in 2024.
Sunday, Aug. 4 at 8:49 PM patrol officers with the Oklahoma City Police Department were dispatched to 6610 S. Shields on reports of a dead person in a home.
When they arrived they found one dead who “appeared to have been shot to death,” said MSgt. Gary Knight in a press release.
That individual has been identified as:
- Merle Southwick, 71.
No arrests have been made at the time of publication. As we gain new, reliable information we will report this case further.
