The Grand Opening weekend for Oklahoma City’s new Scissortail Park kicked off Friday night with a series of concerts that drew 28,000 filling the Great Lawn by the end of the evening.
The park will be open at 8 a.m. daily and will feature concerts for the remainder of this weekend.
Republican Hair, BRONCHO, and Kings of Leon performed on a temporary stage Friday evening with downtown to its back and the new Omni Hotel and Convention Center still under construction to the east.
