The City of OKC sends this information as posted below:
Southeast OKC residential trash customers impacted by the Nov. 3 tornadoes have another chance to clear storm debris. The City is launching its second and final round of special storm debris collection in the designated collection areas beginning tomorrow, Dec. 3.
Crews are expected to complete the first round of storm debris collection by the end of today. To date, crews have collected more than 1,700 tons of residential debris during the first round of collection.
While collection timing is dependent upon the amount of debris set out to be collected, City officials expect the second pass to be completed by Wednesday, Dec. 11.
A debris map showing the clean-up progress is available at okc.gov/debrismap. The second pass will begin as the first pass did, starting in the impacted area near SE 89th Street and Sooner Road and repeating the entire process for the second pass.
If you still need to set out debris, remember the following:
- Storm debris (construction materials, trees, limbs and fencing) should be placed at the curb for collection.
- Cut tree limbs to a length of 10 feet or shorter.
- Do not cover your water meter, gas meter or set debris close to any obstructions such as mailboxes or vehicles.
- Do not park on the street, if possible.
