The City of Oklahoma City invites residents to attend any of the six open houses and share feedback on the recommended route for the MAPS 4 Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) corridors.
BRT is a high-frequency, customer friendly, direct bus-based transit service that operates like light rail. MAPS 4 BRT includes $61 million to build two additional EMBARK operated BRT corridors in South and Northeast Oklahoma City.
The recommended routes have been developed for a BRT corridor that connects the Adventure District to the industrial park where the Amazon logistics facility is located. This route is based on two previous rounds of public and stakeholder engagement from the Oklahoma City community. The upcoming series of open houses will inform Oklahoma City residents on BRT and allow community members to share input before the final recommended route is adopted.

- Monday, April 22 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at The Capitol Hill Library (327 SW 27th St, Oklahoma City, OK 73109)
- Monday, April 22 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at The Ralph Ellison Library (2000 NE 23rd St, Oklahoma City, OK 73111)
- Tuesday, April 23 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the INTEGRIS Cancer Center Conference Room (4401 S Western Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73109)
- Wednesday, April 24 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Oklahoma Center for Non-Profits Rooms in training room C (701 N. Lindsay Ave., Oklahoma City, OK 73104)
- Thursday, April 25 from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Oklahoma City Community College (OCCC) (7777 South May Avenue Oklahoma City, OK 73159)
- Friday, May 10 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Oklahoma City Zoo in the Savanna Conference Room (2000 Remington Pl, Oklahoma City, OK 73111)
The project team heard from residents through two series of open houses and pop-up events, as well as an online and map survey. Residents shared input on community needs such as reliable service, access to healthcare and education facilities, connections to employers, service in key districts and neighborhoods, and service for disadvantaged populations. The project team incorporated this input into the analysis to develop a recommended route.

About MAPS 4
MAPS 4 is a debt-free public improvement program funded by a temporary penny sales tax that will raise a projected $1.07 billion over eight years. Oklahoma City voters approved the sales tax to fund MAPS 4 in a special election on Dec. 10, 2019, moving forward with a unique and ambitious plan to transform our community. The temporary penny sales tax funding MAPS 4 began April 1, 2020, and ends in 2028. More than 70 percent of MAPS 4 funding is dedicated to neighborhood and human needs. The rest is for quality of life and job-creating initiatives. The MAPS 4 Citizens Advisory Board and its six subcommittees will guide MAPS 4 planning and implementation, making recommendations to the City Council. The Council has final authority on MAPS 4. The MAPS Investment and Operating Trust developed a strategic investment plan to support long-term sustainable funding for MAPS 4 projects’ operational expenses and maintenance.
