PRESS RELEASE: OKC Police offer town hall on calling 911 and new ways to report crimes

The Oklahoma City Police Department (OKCPD) sends this information as posted below:

The community is invited to attend a town hall hosted by the Oklahoma City Police Department to learn about 911 and how to report crimes through the department’s new online system.

The meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 8, at the South OKC Chamber, 701 W I-240 Service Road. Register to attend at nacok.org.

Residents can use the Online Police Report System to file police reports that don’t require an immediate officer response, such as embezzlement, harassment, lost property, theft from a vehicle, forgeries, fraud, vandalism and other crimes.

“People have a lot of questions about 911, how the system works and when they should call the number,” OKCPD Captain Michelle Henderson said. “We want to answer those questions and let people know how our new online non-violent crime reporting system works.
