Patrol officers with the Oklahoma City Police Department were sent to an area just east of the intersection of E. Sheridan and Lincoln Blvd Saturday around 2:30 AM after a person called to say she had been in a crash there.

When officers arrived they found Rhodes, who they assessed was “under the influence of some kind of intoxicant,” according to SSgt. Dillon Quirk with OKCPD.

Investigators at the scene estimate that the vehicle Rhodes was driving was “traveling at a very high rate of speed eastbound on East Sheridan Avenue in the [one-way] westbound portion of the road. That road eventually dead ended where the vehicle went over a barrier through a fence and ultimately landed on its side,” said Quirk.

Blood was drawn at the time and has been sent to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) lab for processing, which could take weeks according to Quirk.
