OKLAHOMA CITY — One person is dead after a fight in a residence ended with a shooting in the dark early hours of Friday morning.
UPDATE — Police have now released the name of the person killed. He was:
- Charles Edgar Johnson, 28
Police are counting the death as homicide #14 in the City of Oklahoma City in 2024.
Detectives with the Oklahoma City Police Department are still investigating. No arrests have been made so far, even though police say that “all involved parties, including the shooter, have been interviewed….”
Just after midnight Friday at 12:20 AM, patrol officers were sent to 728 SE 27th Street on reports of a shooting.
Officers then found one person inside the residence who had been shot.
That individual was transported to a nearby hospital where they were pronounced dead.
