OKLAHOMA CITY — Four people have been booked for murder over the last several days in the shooting death of a man at an apartment complex in NW OKC on July 10.
Since our first publication of this homicide, Free Press has learned that the name of the victim is:
- Robert Battle, 31
Booked
And, Free Press has learned that the following people have been booked for the murder and other complaints into the Oklahoma County Jail:
Kenny Ray Franklin, 29, booked for First Degree Murder and Carry or Possess a Firearm by Convicted Felon. $10 million bond set.
Kamya Decaysha Kearney, 24, booked for First Degree Murder. Bond denied.
Dustin Pierre Jeremiah Giles, 33, booked for First Degree Murder ($10 million bond); Petit Larceny; Receive, Possess, or Conceal Stolen Property; Carry or Possess a Firearm by Convicted Felon; Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Kobi Cheyenne Crossley, 27, First Degree Murder (bond denied); Speeding; Driving with License Cancelled, Suspended or Revoked.
As we have previously reported, Battle was shot in the ankle during an argument with others in the parking lot of an apartment complex near the intersection of NW Expressway and Wilshire Blvd Wednesday, July 10 according to MSgt. Gary Knight with the Oklahoma City Police Department.
Battle tried to get someone to take him to the hospital when some friends spotted an EMSA truck on station nearby. They were in position after their dispatchers heard the shooting call go out over the 911 network.
Battle got into the EMSA truck which transported him to the hospital. He died at the hospital according to police.
Note: As of publication, the information provided by the Oklahoma City Police Department has not yet been tested in court. Under the law, all persons are considered innocent until proven guilty before a jury of their peers or a plea of guilt.
