Victim identified in OKC Lincoln Inn shooting death

OKLAHOMA CITY — Police are still seeking leads on suspects in a shooting death at the Lincoln Inn hotel in OKC Saturday.

In the dark early hours of Saturday morning around 3:10 AM, patrol officers with the Oklahoma City Police Department were dispatched to the Lincoln Inn Hotel at 5405 N. Lincoln Blvd. in Oklahoma City on reports of a disturbance.

When they arrived they found the body of a victim in a hallway on the 2nd floor. The victim appeared to “have been shot to death,” according to MSgt. Gary Knight in a press release.

The victim was:

  • Joel Rodriguez, 28

The death is being counted as homicide 59 for the City of Oklahoma City in 2024.

At publication, no arrests have been made in the case. However, security video in the hotel around the same time has resulted in four suspects who detectives have not named.
