Two die in OKC backyard shooting – investigations underway

OKLAHOMA CITY — Detectives are investigating two homicides that occurred during the same shooting in an OKC residential backyard Friday night.

Patrol officers with the Oklahoma City Police Department (OKCPD) were called to 1917 NW 36th St. in OKC Friday night around 10 p.m. on reports of gunshots being heard in the area.

“When officers arrived at the residence, two people were found in the backyard struck by gunfire,” reads the department’s press release.

The victims are identified by police as being:

  • Charles Ingram, 48
  • Andre Neal, 40

Police pronounced Ingram dead at the scene.

Neal was transported to a local hospital where he died later.

No arrests have been reported at the time of publication. Free Press will continue to update this story as reliable information is obtained.
