OKLAHOMA CITY — Three suspects have been arrested in connection with a May 5 shooting near NW 10th Street and Hudson Avenue, police announced Tuesday.
According to the Oklahoma City Police Department, the incident began with an altercation involving Ahoneste Walker, 22, and other patrons outside a restaurant.
Investigators believe Walker then contacted Terrance Britton, 25, by phone. Britton and Malcome Barnes, 24, reportedly returned to the scene in a vehicle, and shots were fired into the crowd.
Britton was initially arrested on weapons charges during a traffic stop in Moore on May 12. Police said he has remained in custody since then, and his charges have now been amended to include offenses related to the May 5 shooting.
As the investigation continued, Assaults detectives identified Walker and Barnes as additional suspects. Both were arrested June 3 at a residence in Moore. Police said the two were interviewed and then booked into the Oklahoma County jail.
All three face multiple charges, including assault and battery with a deadly weapon, use of a vehicle to facilitate a shooting, third-degree arson, and destroying evidence.
Bond was set for Walker and Barnes at $1 million. Britton is currently in federal custody for a probation violation, according to Mark Opgrande with the Oklahoma County Detention Center.
The investigation is ongoing.
