The City of Oklahoma City sends this information as posted below:
The northernmost portion of Frederick Douglass Avenue will be closed through January for road replacement and repair.
This closure will affect access to the Willa D. Johnson Recreation Center and the James E. Stewart Golf Course. Patrons should now turn east on Frederick Douglass Avenue from Martin Luther King Avenue.
A sign indicates that the road is closed to through traffic because the road does not connect all the way to Northeast 10th Street like usual, but drivers can still access the recreation center and the golf course.
The construction should not affect daily traffic for nearby Douglass High School.
For assistance, call Willa D. Johnson Recreation Center at (405) 297-1435 or the James E. Stewart Golf Course at (405) 424-4353.
