PRESS RELEASE: Residents invited to give input on traffic safety in OKC during November events


The City of OKC sends this information as posted below:


Oklahoma City residents are invited to attend a workshop or pop-up event hosted by the City of Oklahoma City as part of the Vision Zero plan. The plan will analyze safety needs, identify high-risk locations and prioritize strategies to address them. Input from residents will be incorporated into the final plan. The draft plan is underway with the final plan scheduled to be finalized early in 2025.

Attendees can talk to project planners, participate in an activity to identify safety priorities in the community, and learn more about the Vision Zero initiative and project timeline.

WHEN:

  • Festival de Vida y Muerte – Dia de Muertos pop-up: Sunday, Nov. 10 from 1:30 to 4 p.m. at Scissortail Park, 300 SW 7th St.

Vision Zero resources and a safety activity will be available at the following OKC GO Bond workshops:

  • Workshop (En Español): Monday, Nov. 4 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Latino Community Development Agency, 420 SW 10th St.
  • Workshop: Tuesday, Nov. 12 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Pete White Health and Wellness Center, 4021 S Walker Ave.
  • Workshop: Tuesday, Nov. 19 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Oklahoma City University, 2501 N Blackwelder Ave. The workshop will be held in the Tom & Brenda McDaniel University Center.
