PRESS RELEASE: OKCPS Board of Education hosting ‘Voices for the Future’ listening sessions

Oklahoma City Public Schools (OKCPS) sends this information as posted below:

OKCPS families,

The OKCPS Board will be hosting community listening sessions to hear directly from families and community members and what they envision for the future of their students.

This is a chance for families and community members to help guide the future of OKCPS and ensure their voice is included in shaping the district’s goals. The feedback from these meetings will help create a plan for our school district for the next five years. This plan is meant to ensure that every choice the board makes is aligned with what the OKC community cares about and focused on student success. We want to hear from everyone—students, parents, teachers, and local leaders—so we can understand what all families need and hope for.

Our students will be the leaders and workers of the future, and every person in Oklahoma City has important ideas to share. Please join us in helping make OKCPS a great place for all students to succeed!

Why you should attend

  • This is your chance to help shape the future of OKCPS and make sure your opinions are part of the district’s goals.
  • We want to hear from everyone in our community—students, parents, teachers, and local leaders.
  • The feedback we collect will guide our district’s plan for the next five years, making sure OKCPS reflects what our whole community cares about.
  • Every voice in Oklahoma City is important, not just those with kids in the schools, because our children will be the future leaders and workers in our community.
