The City of OKC sends this information as posted below:
Everyone is invited to a town hall, moderated by Ward 5 Councilman Matt Hinkle, at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 29, at the SW Library, 2201 SW 134th St.
Councilman Hinkle will emcee a discussion and question-and-answer session covering the 2025 Bond program, LA28 events in OKC, homeless outreach programs and other City topics.
After the presentations, attendees can visit with City staff and provide input.
“We have a lot to talk about in this meeting,” Councilman Hinkle said. “Not only is OKC preparing to hold two Olympic events in 2028, but we have 2025 bond projects on the way, with many improvements coming to our area. This meeting is also an opportunity to learn about the homeless outreach programs OKC is working with.”
Ward 5 is a heavily residential area that covers a significant portion of Oklahoma City’s south side and extends into the southwest part of the city.
Councilman Hinkle was elected to the OKC City Council in May 2023. He serves on multiple committees, including the Finance Committee, Judiciary Committee, Oklahoma City Airport Trust and more. For the past four decades, Hinkle has worked for Tyler Media, where he is the General Manager of the Outdoor Advertising Division. Additionally, Hinkle has served in leadership roles at the South Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce and sits on the organization’s foundation. He is a recipient of the South Chamber’s Volunteer of the Year Award and Citizen of the Year Award.
