GoFundMe sends this information as posted below:

Here are some Oklahoma teachers and community members seeking help to provide for students this year.

Help Mrs. Pollan Inspire Young Minds (Grove, OK)

“I am Mrs. Pollan And teach secondary English. My classroom is fun and has an enthusiastic classroom environment. I am dedicated to creating a positive and engaging learning experience for all students. With the generous donations received, I plan to use the funds to purchase games, learning essentials, and resources that will enhance the learning experience for my students and make the classroom a more dynamic and exciting place to learn”

2024-2025 Jane Phillips Classroom Partners (Bartlesville, OK)

During the summer of 2016 Cindy and I started this program to help the students and teachers at Jane Phillips Elementary School. JP parents work hard to provide for their children but do not have the disposable income, extended families and friends or co-workers to participate in traditional fundraising activities. Our program’s goal is to provide each teacher, at JP, $300. At the beginning of the year, we give each teacher $100 for classroom supplies, then during the year $100 to help defer the cost of a field trip or a classroom celebration and at the end of the year, during Teacher Appreciation Week, we give each teacher a gift of $100.

Support Classroom Organization in Oklahoma (Oklahoma City, OK)

“I am a 4th grade teacher in Oklahoma. I am teaching at a new school (new to me) starting August 2024. We have only two 4th grade teachers and our students will rotate between our classrooms,” the fundraiser reads. “We need extra storage to accommodate each other’s homeroom students so they have a place to put away their supplies while rotating classrooms. These simple, Over-The-Chair organizers are perfect for easy reach and helps to save classroom space.

This back-to-school season, GoFundMe is committed to providing grants to 500 teachers’ fundraisers on the platform through GoFundMe.Org’s Education Opportunity Fund. This summer, the program will disperse grants up to $450 for teachers and classrooms. When teachers create a fundraiser, they can include the hashtag #gofundmeteacher in their fundraiser’s story or submit it here to be considered for a grant.
