PRESS RELEASE: OK Arts Council Classroom Supply Grants: Register for grant portal access by August 23

The Oklahoma Arts Council sends this information as posted below:

NOTE: The Oklahoma Arts Council is using a new grant portal called Fluxx. Therefore teachers and administrators managing a school’s grant applications must register for a Fluxx user account, even if your school previously applied for an Oklahoma Arts Council grant. Schools registering for an account after August 23 may not have sufficient time to submit a grant application by the application deadline in mid-September. Account processing may take up to 15 days.

Required registration information includes your school’s tax ID number (EIN/FEIN), SAM UEI (your district officials can provide you this), primary location address, and payment remittance address. After completing and saving the Fluxx registration form, be sure to click “Submit”.

About Classroom Supply Grants for Visual and Performing Arts

When it comes to sustaining and delivering high quality fine arts programs in Oklahoma schools, supplies are one of the most essential needs. To meet this need, the Oklahoma Arts Council offers schools grant funding of up to $500 per site per school year so they can purchase supplies and materials to use toward visual and performing arts instruction that takes place during the school day. Supplies must be consumable, non-permanent items.

Open to Oklahoma PreK-12 public school sites, applications are now open for Classroom Supply Grants for Visual and Performing Arts. There is no match requirement for this grant program. Schools must have at least one part-time arts instructor in the discipline for which they are requesting funding. School sites may only submit one application per site.

See examples of supplies here that can be purchased for dance, drama/theatre, music, and visual arts.

How to Apply

Step 1: Your school must be verified in the Oklahoma Arts Council grant portal before applying for this grant opportunity. If your school is new to Oklahoma Arts Council grants, you must create a new account in the Fluxx grant portal and complete the eligibility verification process (may take up to 15 days to review and process). For Classroom Supply Grants for Visual and Performing Arts, new user accounts must be registered by August 23.

Step 2: Once your school is verified, you can start an application from the “Apply for Funding” page in Fluxx. Applications for Classroom Supply Grants for Visual and Performing Arts are due by 5:00 p.m. on September 15.
