The Celebration Continues!!! Humanity has a long way to go to end racial indifference. The Oklahoma City Martin Luther King, Jr. Alliance continues to unite in celebration of the life and legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with our 41st Annual Tree of Life Celebration. Five years after Rev. Dr. King’s birthday was named a national holiday, the OKC MLK Alliance led the effort in planting a Tree of Life at the State Capitol. The Tree of Life represents roots, future growth, and resilience, as we weather the storms of life and the daily struggles for justice and equality.
