Oklahoma City, OK (Date) — The deadCenter Film Festival has received a prestigious new honor from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, earning Oscar-qualifying status for Best Short Documentary. This recognition adds to its existing qualifiers for Best Animated Short and Best Live Action Short, further solidifying deadCenter as a premier platform for filmmakers striving for industry excellence.
To mark its 25th anniversary, deadCenter has partnered with the Inasmuch Foundation to name this award the Inasmuch Foundation Award for Best Short Documentary.
