The Office of County Commissioner Carrie Blumert sends this information as posted below:
Serving the constituents of District 1 has been an incredible honor, and this is a bittersweet goodbye. When I first ran for office in 2018, it was to help folks experiencing mental illness and addiction get the help they need and avoid the justice system. This has, and will continue to be, my personal and professional purpose in life. I am so proud of the work we have accomplished during my 6 years serving as your County Commissioner. I want each constituent to know I appreciate your engagement with your County government. Do not ever forget that your elected officials work for you!
My parting words to you are to vote, show up, and get involved. Remember, local government affects your daily life more than any other form of government and you deserve to know what your elected officials are doing. Your continued civic engagement is not just a right, but a powerful tool to shape the future of our community. Continue to make your voices heard!
Thank you for trusting in me to represent you these last 6 years. This is not goodbye but see you later.
-Commissioner Carrie Blumert
