In recognition of Cerebral Palsy Awareness Month, Bethany Children’s Health Center is hosting its 4th Annual Cerebral Palsy Conference on Saturday, March 29, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m, on campus via Entrance 1 at 6800 NW 39th Expwy. The conference is designed to educate and connect children and adults living with cerebral palsy, as well as their families, caregivers and supporters. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from a lineup of distinguished physicians along with medical experts from Bethany Children’s Health Center, including:

  • Dr. Joline E. Brandenburg, M.D., Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota
  • Lori Wathen, Sooner Success, Oklahoma City
  • Dr. Justin Ramsey, M.D., Bethany Children’s Health Center
  • Dr. Deepti Chrusciel, M.D., Bethany Children’s Health Center

The event will cover vital topics, including community resources, early diagnosis, social wellness, and the latest advancements within the cerebral palsy community. The conference will be a unique opportunity to gain valuable insights and connect with others in the cerebral palsy community. Bethany Children’s Dr. Ramsey offers the unique perspective of living with CP himself, and his expertise is just one in many viewpoints throughout the day that will bridge the gap between research and advancements in CP with practical application.

Cerebral Palsy is a neurological condition that impacts children and adults’s movement, balance, and posture. It is the most common motor disability found in children and can range from mild to severe symptoms. The Cerebral Palsy Conference hopes to inform caregivers with relevant, researched medical information that will assist them in taking care of their loved ones.

Tickers are available for $10 here and cover lunch for the attendee. Attendees who register by Friday, March 7 will receive a free conference t-shirt.
