Oklahoma City, OK – May 29, 2025 — The Oklahoma tree care community is gearing up for the 2nd Annual Arbor Rescue OKC, scheduled for Friday May 30, 2025 Classroom Training and Saturday May 31, 2025 Live Training & demos at Scissortail Park in downtown Oklahoma City. Look for the large crane and American flag, and come check us out. This two-day training and outreach event is hosted by Arbor Image, Noble Oak Safety & Training, and R&B Tree Service

“As the lead trainer for Arbor Rescue OKC, my number one priority is to equip arborists with skills that not only make their jobs safer but also more efficient,” said Jonathan Sullivan, training lead for Arbor Rescue OKC. “This year’s event focuses on aerial rescue—an essential, potentially lifesaving skill. Safety is not just a formality; it is a vital practice that ensures efficiency and benefits everyone involved.” 

Arbor Rescue OKC brings together tree care professionals for a weekend focused on urban forestry, technical rescue, and emergency preparedness through advanced arboriculture. 

“We’re creating a space where professionals can grow together—hands-on, in the field, side-by-side with some of the best in the industry,” said Ben Martin, spokesperson for Arbor Rescue OKC.

Check in and light breakfast will begin at 7:30 am, and class starts at 8:00 am. Please bring your PPE and gear you will be using on day 2, as we will be performing a gear check in the afternoon

Live Tree Rescue Demonstrations – Real-time training in aerial rescue, emergency rigging, and high-angle techniques. 

Skills Clinics & Workshops – Interactive learning sessions covering everything from saw safety to technical climbing strategies. 

Equipment Displays – Cranes, spider lifts, bucket trucks, and specialized gear from top brands. 

Guest Speaker: Bill Burley – World-renowned arborist and founder of Heli-ax LLC, will offer mentorship, demonstrations, and insights.
