OKLAHOMA CITY — The Oklahoma County Jail Trust has named Paul Timmons as Acting Jail Director of the Oklahoma County Detention Center. Timmons, currently Chief of Personnel and Administration, brings decades of leadership and law enforcement experience to the role.
The move follows the February 7 resignation of former CEO Brandy Garner.
He joined the detention center in 2022 as Chief of Investigations, demonstrating professionalism in addressing complex challenges. As Chief of Personnel and Administration, he has prioritized operational excellence and staff and detainee well-being.
Before joining the facility, Timmons retired from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol after a distinguished career focused on public safety. His law enforcement and administrative experience position him well to lead during this transition.
“Paul Timmons’ leadership and dedication to service make him the ideal choice for Acting Jail Director,” said Joe M. Allbaugh, chairman of the Oklahoma County Criminal Justice Authority. “We are confident in his ability to guide the facility with professionalism and a commitment to safety and accountability.”
As Acting Jail Director, Timmons will oversee daily operations, ensuring procedures meet high standards of safety, security, and efficiency while fostering a positive work environment.
