Pair of bodies found behind south OKC apartment; police investigating

- The deaths mark the 32nd and 33rd homicides of 2026.

OKLAHOMA CITY – A pair of bodies found behind a southside OKC apartment complex are being investigated as homicides, but police say they currently have little information about what led to the killings.

After 11:00pm on Sunday, June 7th, police received a call from someone saying they’d seen a dead body in a tent behind an apartment complex near I-240 and S. Walker Ave.

When investigators arrived, they found two bodies in the tent, identified as 42-year-old Brian Hedrick and 26-year-old Christopher Anderson.

Police say that both men had injuries “consistent with homicide,” but have currently disclosed no further information about what caused those injuries, what signs point to homicide, or when the men may have been killed.

Investigators are reportedly working to piece together what may have happened and when, but they are asking anyone with any information to call the Homicide Tip-Line at (405) 297-1200.

Note: Charges, information, or claims made by law enforcement have not yet been tested in court. Under the law, all persons are considered innocent until proven guilty before a jury of their peers or a plea of guilt.
