OKLAHOMA CITY — One man is dead after a shooting in a Southside OKC residence Sunday.
The Oklahoma City Police Department is counting the death as homicide #49 for the City of Oklahoma City in 2024.
Sunday night at 10:06 patrol officers with the Oklahoma City Police Department were dispatched to a residence at 6305 S. Lindsey Avenue on reports of a shooting.
Once there, they found Gary Andrew Westrick, 33, suffering from gunshot wounds. The officers pronounced him dead at the scene.
Tony Lee Servantes, 39, who lives in the residence with a female, was arrested and booked into the Oklahoma County Detention Center early Monday morning on a complaint of First Degree Murder.
From the initial investigation, detectives believe, “Westrick was at the residence visiting Tony Servantes and a female who also lived there. At some point during the visit, Mr. Servantes became upset, retrieved a firearm, and shot Mr. Westrick, killing him,” according to MSgt. Gary Knight in a press release.
