Man shot, killed late Sunday at northwest OKC apartment

OKLAHOMA CITY — A 24-year-old man was found shot to death late Sunday at a residence in the 3100 block of North Portland Avenue, according to police.

The death marks homicide #22 for the City of Oklahoma City in 2025.

Patrol officers with the Oklahoma City Police Department responded to a report of gunfire at about 11:25 p.m. on May 11. When they arrived, they discovered the body of Thomas Wade III inside the apartment.

Police believe Wade had been shot multiple times from he appearance of the body.

After their initial investigation, detectives believe two men went to Wade’s apartment late Sunday, shot him, and then fled the scene.

No arrests had been made as of Monday morning. Police ask anyone with information about the killing to call the Homicide Tip-Line at 405-297-1200.
