OKLAHOMA CITY – A man was found dead in a southeast OKC homeless encampment Wednesday afternoon, and police now have a suspect in custody for murder.
Around 4:45pm Wednesday, August 12th, Oklahoma City police responded to a report of a man found dead in a homeless encampment near E. Reno Ave. and MLK Blvd.
Responding investigators determined that his wounds were consistent with homicide and the deceased man was reported Thursday as the year’s 44th homicide, but he was not identified and no further information was given at the time.
Friday afternoon, police reported the identity of the victim as 60-year-old Scott Savage.
At the same time, they reported that 36-year-old Ron Bosin had been arrested on a first-degree murder complaint for Savage’s death, but have yet to provide any further insight into how Savage was killed or how investigators determined Bosin to be a suspect.
Note: Charges, information, or claims made by law enforcement have not yet been tested in court. Under the law, all persons are considered innocent until proven guilty before a jury of their peers or a plea of guilt.
