Fight leads to shooting at OKC hotel – one dies at hospital

OKLAHOMA CITY — Some sort of fight at an Oklahoma City hotel ended with one person shot to death.

Oklahoma City Police report that their officers responded to a shooting at the Oxford Inn hotel at 5301 N. Lincoln Boulevard north of the Oklahoma Capitol at 6:39 a.m. Friday.

When they arrived they found one person critically wounded from gunfire.

That person was then transported to a local hospital where he died from the wounds.

UPDATE — The victim has been positively identified as 25-year-old Christopher Price.

From their investigations, detectives believe that “an altercation broke out on the second-floor landing of the hotel when one of the parties pulled out a pistol and fired it, fatally striking the victim,” according to a police press release.

At this point, police believe that the one who was hit and died was not involved in the dispute that led to the shooting.

UPDATE — 42-year-old Juanterra Givens has been arrested for the shooting.
