OKLAHOMA CITY — An OKC man has been booked into the Oklahoma County Jail after the death of his infant son.
Marnin Relaey Lopez-Tello, 22, was arrested Wednesday and booked on the complaint of “First Degree Murder, Death of a Child by Injuring, Torturing, Maiming.” Bond has been set for $10 million.
On July 15 patrol officers with the Oklahoma City Police Department were dispatched to 1901 Minnie Lane, Apt. A near NW 16th and Meridian.
They were sent to check the welfare of a 10-month-old child who was “unresponsive.” Once there they had the child transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The child’s name is:
- Ethan Evenson Lopez-Monterroso, 10 months old
The OKCPD is counting the death as homicide #47 for the City of Oklahoma City in 2024.
From interviews at the scene and the hospital, police believe that the child’s injuries are “consistent with homicide,” according to MSgt. Gary Knight with OKCPD.
Police urge anyone who has any information to call the Oklahoma City Police Crimes Against Children Unit at 405/297-1124.
