OKLAHOMA CITY — Detectives with the Oklahoma City Police Department (OKCPD) are investigating what is so far a mysterious death on the west side.
Tuesday, at 12:32 am, patrol officers were sent to check the welfare of an individual in the 6800 block of NW 10th St. in the Oklahoma City limits.
When they arrived they found the victim, 38-year-old Ira Spells, who had already died from injuries the officers believed to be “consistent with homicide,” according to MSgt Gary Knight with the office of the OKCPD Public Information Office.
Knight reports that no arrests have been made and the case remains unsolved.
OKCPD is asking anyone with any information to contact the Homicide Tip Line at 405/297-1200.
Free Press will continue to follow this case and give updates as we receive reliable information.
