OKLAHOMA CITY — The victim has been identified in Saturday’s shooting in a Southside OKC apartment complex.
Police have identified the dead victim as:
- Emmanuel Williams, 31
The death marks homicide 61 for the City of Oklahoma City in 2024.
At 9:13 PM Saturday, patrol officers with the Oklahoma City Police Department were dispatched to an apartment at 2720 SW 74th Street, near the intersection of I-240 and S. May Ave. in response to reports of a shooting.
When they arrived they found Williams who had been shot. He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
From interviews with people in the area, “there was some type of disturbance which escalated into gunfire when the victim was shot,” said Sgt. Dillon Quirk with the OKCPD in a press release.
No arrests have been made so far.
