OKLAHOMA CITY – Theatre Crude Fringe Festival has announced their roster of performers slated for the company’s fifth annual festival in Oklahoma City, October 5-14, 2023. The 10-day performing arts festival will be held this fall at Oklahoma Shakespeare in the Paseo Arts District, located at 2920 Paseo. The festival will again follow a hybrid in-person and virtual model, with all in-person performances taking place at Oklahoma Shakespeare.

The locally produced fringe festival will feature 42 in-person performances from 16 multidisciplinary performance groups. On each of the festival’s 10 days, audiences can attend a different line-up of one-act shows. Performers will bring disciplines such as comedy, musical theatre, dance, improvisation, solo performance, opera and more. Four digital-only productions will be streamed online at the festival’s website over the 10-day period and screened live at the theatre. Most of 2023’s participating artists are based in Oklahoma, but this year’s festival also includes traveling productions from artists out of Kansas City, Los Angeles and New York.

“Oklahoma Shakespeare is thrilled to have Theatre Crude on site in the Paseo District this fall” said executive producer of Oklahoma Shakespeare, Tyler Woods. “The company provides a vital outlet for performers and artists in our state and we are happy to be supporting that work.”

Attendees are encouraged to purchase a flex pass to see four shows during the course of the festival. There is also an unlimited pass option for those who want to see as many shows as they like. Individual tickets for each performance are also available for purchase.

Jenny Brand, executive director of the festival, hopes to see many new faces this year, “It’s a huge milestone for us to be celebrating our fifth year in Oklahoma City. Each year more and more audience members find us and more and more they are delighted and surprised by the productions they see. In addition to the incredible support from returning audiences, we love meeting the folks who are joining us for the first time.”
