OKLAHOMA CITY — Preparations are being made for the 46th Annual Paseo Arts Festival, one of the most anticipated events of the year! During Memorial Day Weekend, the festival will be held on May 27 and 28 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. with live music until 10 p.m., and on May 29 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
It is the season for visitors to view thousands of original works of art by national artists. Visitors can also enjoy a variety of food trucks and live entertainment. The Paseo Arts Association’s executive director, Amanda Bleakley, said, “We are ecstatic to be planning the Paseo Arts District’s annual festival.” Each year, tens of thousands of new residents arrive to enjoy all that the district has to offer.

The funds raised through beverage and merchandise sales directly support the mission of the 501(c)(3) organization and are used to put on the community’s favorite Paseo programs and events, such as Magic Lantern, SPACE, FEAST, and First Friday Gallery Walks, throughout the entire year. Another festival featuring arts, crafts, and souvenirs runs concurrently and adjacent to the Paseo Arts Festival, but is not affiliated with it.
The Paseo Arts Association is currently seeking performers and volunteers for the upcoming festival. The deadline for applications to perform live music at the festival is March 14. There is a significant shortage of acoustic musicians.
Volunteer opportunities include beverage tents, music stages, the children’s area, festival information, artist hospitality, merchandise, parking attendants, and recycle rangers. Thepaseo.org/festival contains additional details about performer applications and volunteering.
