You Are Cordially Invited is the first of six interactive performance art events presented at The Resonator Institute of Norman on February 27th at 7:00pm— this happening is hosted by Alleese Eldridge and Cassie Pierce.
Inspired by Dadaist Happenings, Absurdist performance art, and Norman’s vibrant nightlife, Co.Arts is bringing six interactive theatrical experiences to the Norman community, February-July 2025. Each event will debut a performance art piece hosted by a member of the Oklahoma artistic community. The Happenings are supplemented by drinks, bites, and community fellowship.
Alleese Eldridge, the Oklahoma City-based host of You Are Cordially Invited calls it a “an ongoing process of encouraging community building and self-care, You Are Cordially Invited is a reminder to feed your soul… and to throw more dinner parties! It may seem like a superfluous thing, but I truly believe that feeding people and spending time with friends in real life is integral to our individual and communal wellbeing”.
You Are Cordially Invited is the first happening in the Co.Arts 2025 Season. Co.Arts is a Norman-based performing arts collective that serves as an incubation space for artists to produce original work. The door charge for The Happenings is $10, though no one will be turned away for lack of funds. This event is 18+.
