OKLAHOMA CITY (February 10, 2025) – The Oklahoma County Detention Center is pleased to announce that Paul Timmons has been named Acting Jail Director. Timmons, who currently serves as the Chief of Personnel and Administration, brings decades of leadership and law enforcement experience to this critical role.
Timmons joined the Oklahoma County Detention Center in 2022 as the Chief of Investigations, where he demonstrated exceptional dedication and professionalism in addressing complex challenges. In his current role as Chief of Personnel and Administration, Timmons has further solidified his reputation as a leader who prioritizes operational excellence and the well-being of staff and detainees alike.
Prior to his tenure at the detention center, Timmons retired from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol after a distinguished career marked by integrity, commitment, and a strong focus on public safety. His extensive experience in law enforcement, combined with his administrative expertise, positions him well to lead the detention center during this transitional period.
