The OKCPS Foundation sends this information as posted below:

Oklahoma City (February 28, 2025) – Today, the Oklahoma City Public Schools Foundation (OKCPS Foundation) launched T-Up for OKCPS, an annual campaign that builds community support for public education. Now in its fourth year, T-Up for OKCPS raises funds for programs that benefit Oklahoma City Public Schools (OKCPS) through the sale of limited-edition “OKCPS Champion” t-shirts.

This year’s theme is “Together, Somos Más Fuertes” (Together, We Are Stronger), demonstrating the collective strength of the OKCPS community by including both English and Spanish in the message. The 2025 T-Up for OKCPS shirts are available to order online through April 3 for $25 at www.okckids.com/t-up. The funds raised directly support critical programs that address the most urgent needs of OKCPS students and educators.

“This is about coming together to support OKCPS,” said Kendra Horn, president and CEO of the OKCPS Foundation. “Public schools are an investment in our future. When we support our schools, we strengthen our workforce, our economy and our communities. These shirts are a visible reminder that our schools can’t do it alone. When we wear our T-Up shirts, we’re sending a powerful message that public education matters. ”

Oklahoma City Public Schools serves more than 33,000 students, with 92% living at or below the poverty line. The OKCPS Foundation partners closely with the district to provide essential support through programs like Coat-A-Kid, which provides warm coats to students in need, along with initiatives that fund classroom projects, enhance teacher recruitment and advocate for community investment in public education.

On Thursday, May 8, thousands of public education advocates across Oklahoma City and beyond will wear their T-Up for OKCPS shirts to demonstrate their support for OKCPS students, teachers and schools. This date coincides with the Foundation’s Stars of Education celebration, an annual event honoring outstanding OKCPS educators, including the OKCPS District Teacher of the Year.

T-Up for OKCPS has expanded its support and impact year after year, increasing shirt sales and building more OKCPS Champions.

“We are incredibly grateful for all of the businesses and community partners who sponsored this year’s campaign, we could not do this without them,” said Horn. “Their generosity and commitment to supporting OKCPS sends a strong message that ‘Together, Somos Más Fuertes.’”
