PRESS RELEASE: OKCPS provides update on superintendent search

The Oklahoma City Public Schools Board of Education, in partnership with the Oklahoma State School Boards Association (OSSBA), continues to move through the superintendent search process.

An updated process timeline can be found below:

April 12 – The application window closes

April 15 – Regularly scheduled Board meeting

April 16 – Candidate application review by Board Members

April 18 – Round one interviews

April 24 – Round one interviews

May 8 – Round two interviews

“The Board is thankful for the community input we received through the survey that just closed. As we move into the next phase of the process, the board will review the results of the community survey as well as input from several community focus groups. The next major milestone for our Board will be to review the applications and determine which candidates will move into the interview process,” said Board Chair Paula Lewis.

OKCPS cannot comment on or provide information regarding applicants or candidates being interviewed. OKCPS will continue to keep our staff and community informed regarding the superintendent search process.
