(Oklahoma City, OK) – Oklahoma City Public Schools (OKCPS) is proud to announce an initiative aimed at supporting the developmental needs of our youngest learners. OKCPS will be offering “Child Find Developmental Screenings” tailored specifically for three and four-year-olds residing within OKCPS boundaries at no cost.
Families with concerns about their preschool-aged children’s developmental milestones, including speech, motor skills, social skills, and cognitive skills, are invited to participate in these comprehensive screenings. This initiative underscores OKCPS’s commitment to early intervention and ensuring every child has the opportunity to reach their full potential.
Dates and Times:
- June 11: 8:30am – 11:30am
- June 12: 12:00pm – 3:00pm
- June 14: 12:00pm – 3:00pm
- June 18: 12:00pm – 3:00pm
- June 21: 8:30am – 11:30am

These walk-in screenings eliminate the need for appointments, providing families with flexibility and accessibility. Each evaluation is designed to last approximately one hour and will cover crucial developmental areas, including communication, gross motor skills, fine motor skills, problem-solving skills, personal-social skills and age-appropriate milestones.
Families will receive detailed information about their child’s screening results and, if concerns are identified, guidance on available support services. Participation in these screenings is open to all eligible children who live within district boundaries, regardless of their enrollment status in OKCPS.
