(Oklahoma City, OK) – Oklahoma City Public Schools (OKCPS) is hosting a job fair Thursday, August 1, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. District and school leaders will be conducting interviews for prospective teaching candidates on-site in the Northwest Classen High School cafeteria at 2801 N.W. 27th street in Oklahoma City. Interested candidates can visit our website at www.okcps.org/joinokcps for more information and to register to attend.
The district encourages those interested in joining #TeamOKCPS to attend even if they do not have traditional backgrounds in teaching or education. Team members will be on-site to answer questions regarding alternative pathways to becoming a certified educator.
OKCPS is looking to hire secondary high school teachers in the areas of Special Education, CTE Stem Construction, French, Language Arts, English Language Learner, Science and Math. There are many benefits that come along with being an OKCPS teacher, including one of the higher starting salaries in the OKC metropolitan area at $45,250/year plus health benefits of up to $8,155.44. In addition, OKCPS also pays for the employee’s portion of Oklahoma Teachers’ Retirement adding an additional 7% to our compensation package for a total minimum of $53,405.44.
