OKLAHOMA CITY — The Oklahoma City Public Schools Foundation is pleased to announce Candice Hillenbrand as its new Director of Development. Hillenbrand brings more than two decades of nonprofit leadership and fundraising experience to the role, with a strong track record of securing major gifts and building lasting partnerships that support community impact.

Hillenbrand most recently served as Chief Resource Officer at Girl Scouts Western Oklahoma and has held key roles at The YMCA of Greater Oklahoma City, A Chance to Change and St. Luke’s United Methodist Church. Her deep experience in development and community engagement will be instrumental in advancing the Foundation’s mission to support excellence and equity in Oklahoma City Public Schools.

“We are thrilled to welcome Candice to our team,” said Kendra Horn, President and CEO of the OKCPS Foundation. “Her passion for public education, and extensive background in fundraising and community leadership, make her an ideal fit as we grow our impact and support for OKCPS students and teachers.”

Hillenbrand is a proud graduate of the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma, where she earned her degree in Mass Communications. She also holds a Master of Arts in Administrative Leadership from the University of Oklahoma. A committed community advocate, she is a member of Leadership Oklahoma City, Class 41, and currently serves on the board of directors for the Youth Leadership Exchange (YLX).

“I’ve always believed in the power of public education to transform lives,” said Hillenbrand. “I’m honored to join the Foundation in this role and excited to help connect our community to the mission of supporting OKCPS students and educators.”

Outside of her professional work, Hillenbrand is an OKCPS parent and enjoys spending time with her husband, Dan, and their daughters, Noel and Madeline. She can often be found cheering them on at rowing regattas, school events and college milestones.
