The Oklahoma City Utilities Department is searching for a new operator to revitalize the Lake Draper Boathouse and Marina.
The new operator will be responsible for various services, including boat stall rentals and concessions, as well as special events like fishing tournaments.
“We’re really looking for someone who can see the potential for what Lake Draper can be and drive additional business by hosting new events, tournaments and recreation programs,” Property Specialist for the Oklahoma City Utilities Department Tasha DeWitt said. “We also encourage the new operator to reach out to the local community to build partnerships.”
Qualified applicants should have experience in marina and boat stall operations and management, concessions and running fishing, boating and other types of tournaments and recreational events.
“This project underscores Oklahoma City’s commitment to enhancing local amenities and fostering economic growth,” DeWitt said. “The successful operator will serve as a catalyst for community development, becoming a pivotal component of the city’s recreational and economic landscape.”
